"High school senior Justina Griffith was never the girl who dreamed of going to prom. Designer dresses and strappy heels? Not her thing. So she never expected her best friend, Ian Clark, to ask her.
Ian, who always passed her the baseball bat handle first.
Ian, who knew exactly when she needed red licorice.
Ian, who promised her the most amazing night at prom.
And then ditched her.
Now, as the sun rises over her small town, and with only the help of some opinionated ladies at the 7-Eleven, Justina must piece together – stain by stain on her thrift-store dress – exactly how she ended up dateless. A three-legged Chihuahua was involved. Along with a demolition derby-ready Cadillac. And there was that incident at the tattoo parlor. Plus the flying leap from Brian Sontag’s moving car...
But to get the whole story, Justina will have to face the boy who ditched her. And discover if losing out at prom can ultimately lead to true love."

Mini-Review.
Ditched begins literally when Justina Griffith wakes up in a ditch at 6:15 a.m and struggles to remember just how she ended up there (after what was meant to be the best prom night ever) in an lustrous blue dress full of stains. She finds herself at the closest 7-11 reliving her night of disaster to the cashier and an overly regular customer.
Justina, as a character appealed and did not appeal to me. She is like most other girls, dreaming of having a perfect moment with that guy. I really did feel for her, having an over-bearing mother who picked out her prom ensemble from a second hand store. Yet, Justina is quite irrational and in my opinion, she is the main reason that this whole story occurs. I cannot really write much about Ian because he really was not in the story that much, he does however seem very cool. The Mikes and their dates are comic relief in Ditched and are pretty entertaining characters!
The story is told through the different stains on Justina's dresses which both is both original and entertaining.

Despite being slow paced in places, Ditched is full of humour, romance, blunders and embarrassment which will have you wanting to read on to find out how Justina that ugly stain on her dress.
